Widow spiders generally do not infest homes but prefer dark, close quarters outdoors such as woodpiles or crevices under rocks. Indoors they are found in quiet locations such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics typically nesting in narrow gaps between the wall and a stored box or other object. Their bite feels like a pinprick. Most people don't notice there bitten until 15-60 minutes later when the bite becomes irritable and may induce vomiting. Symptoms usually completely dissipate within 12 to 24 hours. In extremely rare cases (less than1%), death may occur. Very young children and elderly adults are the most susceptible to the widow venom and, therefore, the most likely to experience severe symptoms. |

Whenever you see adult fleas crawling on your pet, it's only a symptom of a much larger problem. Current studies indicate that adult fleas account for only 5% of total flea population. Eggs account for 50%, larvae account for about 35%, and remaining 10% are pupal cocoons . That means that for every single adult flea living on your cat or dog, There are ten eggs from 7 larvae and 2 cocoons. These various life cycle stages will be found anywhere in the pet’s environment, but will be most concentrated in the areas that the host spends most of its time. Although highly unlikely, Fleas can take blood from one host with rabies and feeds on another host possibly transferring contaminated blood into their bodies. Quick control of fleas is the best solution to preventing large infestations. |

Ants build underground layers referred to “ant hills” or colonies where the queen is located. The worker ants search non-stop for food so the queen can reproduce. As the gradual number of worker ants rise, the ants widen the chamber. Discarding and digging soil outside the nest are the main responsibilities for the worker ants. Ants also come to gather sweet honey released from the honey gland at the base of the leaves and buds of flowers and trees or to collect the sweet sap oozing out from the peeled bark of a tree. You may probably not know, but your entire garden could be infested with ants. The smaller male ants and the larger queen ants all have wings. The male’s life-span is short. Only the queen begins a new colony. Ants have four distinct growing stages the egg, larva, pupa and the adult. |

The tick latches on to
a host
and feeds on its blood for as long as possible. These parasites breed in brush and bushes until they seek their next host. Tick's are the main cause of lyme disease known to man. First the tick gets infected by one host and then bites into another host. There are two types of ticks: hard bodies and soft bodies (pic to the left). Symptoms of lyme diseases include bulls eye like rashes, pain from joint to joint and signs of inflammation of the heart or nerves. This is why ticks can be dangerous and should be removed as soon as possible. |

| These insects grow to about half a inch long usually brown or grayish silverfishes insects feed on glue books and on anything paper, including wall paper in your house. They are found anywhere it is extremely humid but they are also found in old books. Silver fish have been around longer than dinosaurs existing over 40 million years old Adults lay eggs in small groups containing a few to 50 eggs. The eggs are very small and deposited in cracks and crevices. A female normally lays less than 100 eggs during her life span of two to eight years. Under ideal conditions, the eggs hatch in two weeks, but may take up to two months to hatch. Sanitation alone will not eliminate an infestation, although it may prevent new ones from starting. A large infestation usually means the house has been infested for some time. Spraying around the establishment will stop silverfish in their tracks. |
